PRMP organized a brainstorming session on Public Procurement Procedures on 21-04-2016 (Thursday) at P&D Department under the chairmanship of Secretary P&D. The brainstorming session was organized to conduct need assessment of the participants nominated by their respective departments for upcoming four day training on “Public Procurement” at Lahore University of Management Sciences. The session was attended by MD, PPRA, Government officers and faculty members of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
Secretary P&D in his Inaugural speech, gave comprehensive insights on the present procurement procedures and the challenges being faced by the departments in this regard. He explained that the brainstorming session would help to design a comprehensive training module for the participants and it would be customized to cater the demands of Government officers directly dealing with public procurement. During the session, the participants shared their experiences issues, challenges and also gave suggestions regarding design of the training module.
The faculty members of LUMS interacted with each participant and identified their requirements and expectations regarding upcoming training on the said subject as part of Training Need Assessment (TNA). The session was also attended by Mr. Ali Jalal, Deputy Program Director, Mr. Iftikhar Saleem Bhatti, Deputy Program Director & Mr. Hammad-ud-Din, Assistant Director, PRMP.
